New transparency rules for intermediaries in tax planning

29.06.2017 News

The European Commission has proposed new rules regarding transparency for intermediaries - such as tax advisors, accountants, banks and lawyers - who design and promote tax planning schemes for their clients.

The proposal aims to tackle aggressive tax planning by increasing scrutiny around the previously-unseen activities of tax planners and advisers.

In the form of an amendment to the Directive for Administration Cooperation, the European Commission will submit the proposal to the European Parliament.
